Time for Prepaid Cell Renewal
My year of Tracfone service ended on February 28, and I couldn’t be happier. I use a cell phone for non-911 emergencies, grocery shopping, and calling when I’m lost. That’s about it, not much recreation about it. I’m about to change into a GPS-hugging, J2ME-codin’ anteater, but let’s look at how I got there.
Don’t Confine to Perfect Rhymes
When it comes to rhyming, I’m pro-choice.
By limiting your rhyme sets to perfect rhymes, you doom yourself in a few ways:
- You have fewer ways to cohere two rhyming lines
- You’re stuck with predictable responses, ruining any element of surprise. Because perfect rhymes are a small set, your audience is more likely to know what you’re about to say before you even say it.
Think about the word “love”. How many single words perfectly rhyme with it?
